Die Erdnusspflanze braucht konstant warme Temperaturen von über 25 Grad Celsius. Erdnüsse gedeihen daher besonders gut in feuchten und tropischen Anbaugebieten wie etwa in China, woher wir die Nüsse für unser Erdnussmus beziehen.

Die Erdnusspflanze wächst nicht einfach wie ein Baum nach oben, sondern im Zickzack. Sobald die Blüte über der Erde gelb wird, werden die Blütenstängel länger, krümmen sich nach unten und wachsen wieder in die Erde hinein. Dort entstehen aus den Samen der Blüte dann die Erdnüsse.

Etwa vier Monate nach der Aussaat wird die Pflanze welk. Klingt zunächst einmal schlecht, ist aber ein gutes Zeichen: Nun können die Erdnüsse geerntet werden. Dazu heben die Bauern die ganze Pflanze samt Wurzel aus der Erde. An einer Erdnusspflanze können bis zu 30 Erdnüsse hängen.

Nach der Ernte werden die Erdnüsse getrocknet, geschält und sortiert. Anschließend geht es auf die Reise: In den Niederlanden werden die Erdnüsse erst fettfrei geröstet und anschließend in riesigen Maschinen zu einer Creme vermust.

the best peanut butter I know: aromatic and creamy consistency

The tastiest peanut butter I have ever eaten. Very aromatic, ideal consistency. Peanut butter is often very oily or difficult to mix and has a greasy aftertaste. Not this one at all. I mainly use it savory, with sesame oil and cocoaminos (or soy sauce) as a sauce for vegetables and salads. My boyfriend was so enthusiastic that he stole a jar from me. His jar is half empty after 5 days because he eats it as a "three-stick dessert", with cream quark and plum jam on bread. I never rate anything else, but it's worth it.

Peanut butter is no longer edible

I ordered 6 tins, but unfortunately the peanut butter separates from the oil after a few weeks. The oil is then on top and the peanut butter becomes rock hard and unfortunately it is not so easy to get it out of the tin. So I had to throw away 4 tins, I recommend only buying one jar at a time and eating it as quickly as possible.

It's a shame that you're increasing the prices of all your products so much. Now the peanut butter is 30% more expensive than the comparable organic product from the drugstore competition and it's no longer worth ordering. You also have shipping costs on top.
